French Oak has its own personality with its own character of knots, unique graining and specific features. Pierson are proud to be able to use "mature wood" which not only increases the character and personality of furniture but also ensures that it will hold its value.
Among the details that make Pierson furniture true pieces of cabinet making are canted angles, optional worm holes, semi antique patina and dovetailing on the drawers. The patina is applied by hand by specialists journeymen, in six successive coats, and this makes all the difference to the finished product. Finally, the furniture is hand waxed using real beeswax mixed with stain pitch
